Site being repurposed to help with COVID-19 vaccine guidance.

It goes without saying that 2021 will be the year of the vaccines as we re-start everything beginning with health. On that note my website (chapsforpg.com) is going to be repurposed to provide more information on vaccines and general COVID-19 help.

Nearly all of the information will point to Monterey County sites as the County Health department starts administering the vaccines in phases. Where possible I will add content to help with navigation and guidance. Thank you all and stay safe.

My first vote as a US citizen!

For many folks like me who have gone through the citizenship process, getting to vote in itself is a super exciting event! So here it is in all its glory…another one for my memories and what truly makes me feel like a US citizen! It was such a super easy process, no lines and all the time in the world for a few pictures while dropping the ballot in! Speaking of ballots, have you voted yet? 🙂

Mr. Kampe’s words of endorsement

As you all may know Former Mayor of Pacific Grove Mr Bill Kampe’s invaluable work, leadership, accomplishments and commitment to the City of Pacific Grove and the central coast are unparalleled. It therefore brings me great pleasure to say that Mr. Kampe took time to pen some words of endorsement for me:

“I highly endorse Chaps Poduri for PG City Council.  Chaps brings thoughtful insight into the issues facing our city, relevant government finance experience, and an engaging manner that embraces and treasures the quality of life that we enjoy in Pacific Grove.’

Thank you, Mr. Kampe!

Endorsed by the The Monterey County Association of REALTORS®

I am very happy to mention that I have been endorsed by The Monterey County Association of REALTORS® (MCAR), an organization that promotes professionalism, property rights and home ownership. The MCAR endorsement is given to candidates who have and will best represent real estate, housing and private property interests while serving in elected office.

Thanks for visiting, here’s something about me:

I’m Chaps Poduri, candidate for Pacific Grove City Council. I became a U.S. citizen in 2019 after 19 years of living in the United States. I have been waiting patiently for a long time to go full steam with my rights as a citizen and I can not wait to get involved locally here in beautiful Pacific Grove!

I moved to Pacific Grove with my family in 2016 because the town felt ideally suited for raising our children.  Our oldest two attend Forest Grove Elementary while our youngest is more than content these days to enjoy the luxuries of the couch while others are off with their busy lives. My Mom lives with us and she enjoys cooking (my sister is jealous but that’s a different story) and being with our family Needless to say our family hasn’t looked back with our decision to move here.

I worked for ten years of my career  in the technology industry, , then made the move to financial services for the past ten years. Throughout the past twenty years I have been involved with public sector clients directly as a consultant – working at the Secretary of State’s office in Sacramento, CA as a Project Manager, with the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington D.C. as a Program Manager and with CA Employment Development Department in Sacramento, CA as a Program Manager for Unemployment and Disability Benefits. For the past five years I have been a Treasury Solutions consultant for States, Cities and Municipalities in the U.S. including California.

I’m a hard worker who enjoys any challenge. I am ready to take my civic involvement to the next level as your elected City Council member. I look forward to earning your vote and the opportunity to represent the people of this great town.
